The majority of issues related to the EasyDisk can be solved with the following steps. This will help with fixing EasyDisk units that no longer work, have become corrupted, infected with viruses. Warning - this will erase all data on the EasyDisk.
1. If using Windows 2000, XP or 2003, verify that you are logged on with administrative rights.
2. Insert mini-CD version 5.1. In Windows Explorer, open the Drive Letter that represents your CD-ROM. Open the “Utility” folder.
3. Launch the “Setup” program. Follow the prompts to install the program.
4. Plug in your EasyDisk. (If it is already plugged in, eject it, using the “Safely Remove Hardware Device” icon (eject tool), and then plug it back in.)
5. A “USB FLASH DISK UTILITY” icon will appear in system tray. Right-click on icon and select “low-level format”.
6. Place a check in the “I agree” box.
7. Click the “Low Level Format” button. Click “OK”.
8. Click “Start”.
9. After the format completes, click “OK”.
10. Click “Close”.
Close the FlashDisk Utility. (This will minimize it only. The icon will stay running in the system tray.)
